I'm so glad you enjoyed this book! I reviewed it a whle back -- I was very impressed with Rosen's characters, his wry humor, and the way he depicts the inner wrestles of a contemporary female rabbi.
Have you read Marianne Williamson's Gilead? In many ways it is a radically different book -- but I think of them together because both show us insight into the inner life of a clergyperson who is engaged in the work of teshuvah, one way or another.

Rachel, I got through about a quarter of Gilead -- maybe I should give it another chance. I'll look at your review of Joy Comes in the Morning
