Alignment, Israel at 58
Tonight begins the 20th Day of the Omer (May 2-3, 2006), which is two weeks and six days of the omer. May that part of me that is broken in Yesod in Tiferet be healed on this day.
Note in the sefira diagram that Yesod and Tiferet are in alignment. Two associations with Tiferet are Jacob and the Kadosh Baruch Hu (the aspect of God portrayed as a character in the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible). Yesod is associated with Joseph. There is a lot of can-do attitude among those three characters! God created the world, Jacob navigated his way through birthright, blessings, the complexities of goat breeding and a father-in-law. Joseph escaped from the pit to become the most powerful person in Egypt other than Pharoah.
Part of alignment is about using available resources. Getting stuff done doesn't require perfect alignment. The workman have improvised a solution that works. And a thoughful photographer/witness turned this enginuity into beautiful art.
Yesod in Tiferet is not about perfection, but completion.
On this 58th birthday on Yesod in Tiferet, let us be inspired by Israel's history, her accomplishments and the tenacious hope that her citizens cling to. Redemption in Israel comes in small buckets.
